Fading Forest.
I gaze upon the forest's frame,
A dwindling landscape, sparse and lame.
Few trees remain, a stark sight,
A vital resource, exploited with all our might.
The forest's fate affects us all,
A haven for creatures, great and small.
Their home, our heritage, we must confess,
Now threatened by our reckless excess.
Deforestation's toll is plain to see,
Logging's ravages, a blatant spree.
Trees cut down, left to wither away,
As profit's motive trumps the planet's sway.
The forest's role as carbon sink, we forget,
A vital function, we can't just let it dwindle yet.
For every tree cut, plant five, let's make it right,
A simple truth, for day and night.
Wildlife's habitat, we destroy with our hand,
Leaving creatures homeless, lost, and stranded.
Loggers reap rewards, while nature pays the price,
As forests fade, a menace takes its slice.
To the youth, a call to act, a plea,
Protect the forest, let it thrive, be free.
The forest's story, a lesson to impart,
Cut a tree, plant five, a debt to the heart.

Protecting forests is very crucial. Many species shelter here in the forests. They make a huge impact on biodiversity. Humans are occupying forests on agricultural land and constructing highways. We need to stop these activities to protect nature.
This hits deeply.
